Financial Services Compensation Scheme
The Society participates in the Financial Services Compensation Scheme established under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. Payments under the Scheme are limited to a maximum of £85,000 of an investor's total shares and/or deposits in a Society. Most investors are covered, including individuals and small firms.

Those not covered include:
-  A large company
-  A large partnership
-  A large mutual association
-  A local authority
-  An overseas financial services institution
-  Some pension funds
-  The auditors of the Society and its group
-  A person whose claim arises from transactions in connection with which they have been convicted for money laundering.
