National Counties Building Society Epsom 10K Run
13th June 2011 - Over 200 runners braved the rain to take part in Sunday's Epsom 10K run, sponsored by National Counties Building Society. The race was started by councillor Sheila Carlson, Mayor of Epsom & Ewell. The field again included John Milton the Chief Executive of the sponsors, National Counties.
The race winners were Kevin Quinn, first male, with a time of 31 minutes 25 seconds and Jackie Perrin, first female, with a time of 38 minutes 55 seconds.
Amongst the many organisations involved, particular thanks are due to Epsom Oddballs RC for the race organisation, Epsom Hospital Radio and Energise Gym for supplying the well deserved water for runners during the race.
Of course, the greatest thanks is due to all the runners who took part - Sponsorship money for The Butterfly Appeal is being collected at National Counties' branch in Ashley Square, Ashley Centre, Epsom KT18 5DD.
