As part of their on-going commitment to supporting the local community, National Counties Building Society and Family Building Society have donated £1,000 towards the refurbishment of the new library at Greville Primary School in Ashtead.

The Greville Primary School previously had two small libraries situated in the corridors. Now, having purchased new books and furniture, two new libraries sit proudly in their own rooms. The Society’s donation covered new books and seven new sets of shelves to complete the refurbishment project. Staff at the Society’s Head Office in Epsom also collected a large selection of good quality second hand books to add to the library.

Mr Depree, Head Teacher at Greville Primary School said: “We are delighted with this donation from the Society. It has given us a final boost to complete our library refurbishment project. The addition of more books will help to fill all the new shelf space we now have!”

Mark Bogard, Chief Executive at National Counties Building Society and Family Building Society said, “We hope that by having a new dedicated space for reading, pupils at Greville Primary School will have a really positive experience when they visit their new library”.
